Great idea and I applauded MSE's effort to get people to switch to the cheapest appropriate tariff. However... when I registered and tried to put in my current electricity tariff (EDF Blue, capped to April 2014 and recommended by MSE) the only tariffs I could select for my "current" usage were variable or green. Naturally the results showed that I could save by switching to almost any other provider; my calculated current cost came out at £620 while my actual usage costs £535.
PLEASE add more tariff details to get accurate electricity costs, or the whole scheme may be discredited because of the "false positives" - which would be a great shame!

I was delighted to join as this is a huge chunk of my income. However, was rather alarmed to see that I was being told that I could save from a supplier who I have just moved away from and my current supplier is most definitely cheaper! In fact, I was told that 52 suppliers were cheaper and I have used 2 of them over a 7 year period and they definitely were not. A SCAM? Another one?0
