Courts awarded costs to me but...

Hello. Apologies if this is in the wrong place but can see no other place better suited.
Long story short: courts awarded me residency of my son in 2007, and awarded costs against my ex-girlfriend (son's mum) for not turning up to hearings etc. She dropped quickly out of sight and I learned eventually she dumped her new boyfriend, married someone else, moved with him to Dubai (taking opportunity to stop what little maintenence she paid, natch) but has now divorced and returned home...can I still get those costs and how? I'm afraid that being a single dad has been hard and I plain need any money going, especially if I have a straight-forward right to it.

You would be best contacting the court direct. Did you report to them at the time that she'd refused to pay the costs? If so did they take any action such as a warrant of execution? If nothing was done at the time then I don't know if there might be a time limit on it - but the courts would be best placed to advise on that.
