Recieved my 1st iPhone today and I have some questions, I know you can download music direct through iTunes, however I was advised if you download iTunes onto a PC and burn your CD's you can then transfer them onto the device?
Im a bit of a technophobe with all this new technology but my main problem is my home PC is just a small netbook so no DVD/CD Drive, any other way to get the CD's on the computer?
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Couple of options, find a friend with a laptop/desktop that has a cd/dvd drive to rip your music from, then transfer onto a usb stick/storage device to plug into your own netbook.
Buy one of these: External USB DVD writer
N.B. not specifically advocating this, can prolly get cheaper versions, this just shows what you need. (I have this one for my driveless desktop)0 -
You'll need a CD drive, so if a friend or family member has a computer with cd drive you can burn them and use a USB storage device/external hard drive/memory card to move the files across to your computer.
To put music that's already on your harddrive to your iPhone you just install iTunes import all your music and connect your iPhone, then drag and drop the songs into the iPhone tab0 -
I would probably suggest that you dont let itunes to manage your music either. (an option on itunes device main page (ie where it tells you serial number etc)0
