If you can afford to lose £1000 then its a gamble like any other.
You would only be truely stupid in doing this if you can NOT afford to write off £1000.
Quick TRUE story - Step Fathers old company made all the staff redundant. They had £750 (ish) in the lottery kitty from winnings at the end of their employment. A vote to buy £750 worth of tickets or a good night out ended up with them buying tickets. Not a penny was won back. Not even £10. Zilch. Nadda. Nothing.0 -
I dont think i could just write it off. My lucks down and out at the moment and its took me nearly a year to even manage to save a grand.
Oh well, back to the drawing board.0 -

Please don't.....I think you're probably joking anyway but please don't!

The odds are tiny that you would even win more back than your original stake - if you fancy a bit of low risk (possibly no-risk but I'm not an expert) excitement, have a wander over to the matched betting board and give that a go!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

If you try matched betting, make sure you go through quidco or other cash back site when signing up for the bookmakers.
My advice, would be don't risk your money on the lottery tickets... how sick would you feel if you lost it all... which is probably very likely!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Well, if you want you could give the grand to me and I'll send you a tenner

Statistically if you spend £1000 on lotto tickets you will win £190ish
The odds on £1000 winning the jackpot are 14000 to 1
Maybe spend £1 on a ticket, and save the rest
