Reclaiming store card account cover

Hi
I've had an Outfit store card for about 10 years or so and have recently discovered that it has "Account Cover" added to the payments. Is this the same as PPI? I have a vague recollection of being asked if I want to take out the cover but I said no (I always decline the PPI payments on cards and loans). Am I likely to be able to recover any of my payments? And if I were to contact them, would I write to Outfit or the bank who the payments go to (Santander)?
I'd appreciate any advice with this as I've looked through the forums and Martin's advice but I can't find anything that applies directly to store card cover.

Same as any other card cover, you complain to whoever sold it to you in the first place.
Yes, you can complain about it, but they weren't regulated at the time of sale, so they can dismiss your complaint if they choose to.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
