Buyer says there isn't the facility to leave feedback?!!

Just needed to get my stars up so did something I don't like haveing to do( but what eBay advise to do) which is message buyer asking if they received the item and if it was ok could they possibly leave feedback. They have 50 transactions but have replied saying there doesn't seem to be the facility to leave feedback. How do I explain!

I would leave them alone and stop bothering them - I'm sorely tempted to start leaving negative feedback for everyone who wastes my time by mithering me for feedback.

As I said,my first time to do this, Ebay suggests you do this.As she has replied, it doesn't suggest she's got a problem with it,unlike you.
I usually leave my feedback in chunks, but with what's going on with stars at the moment, I need to protect my interests.
    Ilikewatch, that would be spiteful.

Ebay tell you to pester buyers for feedback??? I don't think so.

Your playing a dangerous game - and it will end up backfiring.

Some people don't leave feedback when they are unhappy - but don't like giving negs. But a promt can just make them think to give you one for hassling them.

I thinkl its OK to ask a seller for feedback - but not a buyer.

I was just about to send her a polite message , but she's now added it, so I will thank her.

For all you know they could have left you low stars.

Its not over-reacting - its from experience.

    You'll learn - the hard way :p

One message asking if everything went well, OK.

More messages about feedback and your stars are going down.

  • I buy a lot on ebay. I usually leave feedback, often weeks later as I don't always have the opportunity to use or test the items right away.

If I'm not happy about something in a minor way, I will not leave feedback. An example of this, is I recently received an item which is the wrong colour. The colour is not critical and does not affect functionality, but also it makes the item stand out in my car instead of blending in. I did not feel it was worth the hassle of an exchange or negative so I kept quiet but did not leave feedback. If the seller had sent me a message requested feedback, they would get a neutral comment. On the whole, I feel I would be irritated by such messages.

If I have a major problem, I will leave a negative if I'm unable to resolve it with the seller. Think I've only had to do that once or twice and I've been on ebay as a seller and buyer since it started.

What you have to remember here is that ebay cs are notorious for giving bad/incorrect advice to people. Yoy only have to look at these boards and ebays own to see that.
As has already been said there are quite a few buyers that can and will mark your stars down for requesting feedback.

Yes but at least you now see you overreacted!
