My car is due for MOT and service on the 3rd March, Tax is due end of this month, however I'm hoping to trade the car in the next week or so (just waiting for some money to come through) my car is coming up 5 years old (08 reg) has full dealer service history and has only done 42k, is it worth getting the service and MOT done prior to trade in or would it make little difference, the car is practically mint and I'm looking at cars at the nearly new end of the market, perhaps about £18k.
I hate football and do wish people wouldn't keep talking about it like it's the most important thing in the world

I wouldn't bother paying for a service, if you think you'll get a better price at the trade-in you could get it tested, the car shouldn't need a lot of work on it.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Don't pay out for the service, it wont increase the trade-in value, but definitely MOT it, much easier for the garage to pass on then.0

Ask the dealer. If its going to sit on the forecourt for weeks/months? Then they may issue a fresh MOT on it anyway when they come to sell it.
