First Choice - first class service.

I know we all like to complain when things go wrong, but I thought it worth mentioning a recent case which turned out better than I expected.

I recently booked a holiday to Morocco via the First Choice web-site.
I noticed on the front page that they were offering an extra £40 off if booking a holiday between April - October 2013. All I had to do was to user the promo code "34878".
Problem was I was booking late on Sunday evening after the offices were closed, and I didn't spot where to enter the code.
The following day I emailed FirstChoice explaining that I had not been able to enter the promo code and I hadn't wanted to risk losing the holiday (I needed to book 2 rooms and there were only 2 left for the dates I wanted) so I'd booked it anyway. I asked them whether they would be able to retrospectively apply the discount, expecting the answer to be no.

To my surprise I got a response later the same day confirming that the discount had been applied and my account updated to show the remaining balance. Result...:D

By the way, for anyone else having difficulty spotting where to enter the promo code, it's on the payment page. You need to click on a link "I have a promotional code" next to the total holiday price. When you click the link it opens another text box where you can enter the code. I have to admit it would have been easier to spot if the box had been there all along, or if the link had been further down the page close to where you have to enter the payment details.
