How do I fix it? :( Will my landlord take my deposit off me?

You fix it by painting the room.

You do not have to use expensive paint.

    Trade will do.
  • Clean it off with Ciff (used to be called Jiff). It worked for me.

    Just paint the wall.
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!
  • how long have you lived there, you are allowed reasonble ware and tear, which includes marks to walls from day to day living.

I don't know how to, I've never done it before :/

I wouldn't class this as reasonable wear and tear, since its reasonable to expect a tenant to use a head board.

Anyway the solution is repaint the affected wall, if you are good at cutting in you won't be able to notice too much the difference in the colour if you are not able to find the exact paint used previously.
  • Before you commit yourself to painting the whole room go and buy some sugar soap, prepare it according to the pack instructions and wash the wall with it. It should get rid of your stain, you may have to wash all of the walls when it makes a very clean spot but its easier than repainting them.

Nothing to it. There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to do it.

Sugar soap gets muck off that nothing else will touch without ruining the paintwork if you are careful. Dirt and accidental damage are not part of fair wear and tear, wear and tear is stuff like the carpets getting thin from walking on them repeatedly or paintwork fading in the sunlight.
