I received a pair of Red Rock boots which are outdoor boots but I bought them as slippers as my feet were getting cold sitting at the computer as the cold seemed to go through the current slipper boots I have. I received them on the afternoon of 30 January and wore them that afternoon onwards and after 6½ days, on 6 February, I nipped out to put my food recycling bag in the main food recycling bin which was out on the pavement with the Council collections being the next day. Unfortunately, I stepped in dog poo as some 'kind person' had allowed their dog to deposit it's mess just next to the bins on the pavement. Before I came back in I removed my boot and then took some toilet tissue to remove the worst of it and my good hubby promised to take the boot outside and clean it with disinfectant the next day as it's the only way to get rid of the smell. When cleaning the boot with the tissue, I noticed that the sole had split. It's done in a zig zag design and it was right along this zig zag which the split had occurred. I checked the other boot and it was the same. I had only worn them for 6½ days and only indoors, apart from popping out to the pavement once, as I said. They are so cosy and I'm terribly disappointed as the cold was not going through the sole. Now the problem is that I've been trying to contact The Hut and gone through their 'Contact us' on their website, put my message in the box to send to them. When I clicked Send, it looked as if the message had been sent but them a message said
" error 500
We're sorry we are currently experiencing a problem. This will be resolved shortly."
Have any others had problems contacting The Hut Customer Services? This is the third time I've looked at their website over the last few days to try to find a way to contact them. I tried through 'My account' with no luck and also through 'Contact us' and checked Returns and it gives information about returning items which have not been opened but not for faulty goods. At the bottom it does say something like 'question not been answered?' so I clicked on this and got the message box. Luckily I had copied and pasted my message so I will try again but just wondered if they are very difficult to work with and get through to. Thanks to anyone who can help me.
