moving out!!!
Options
Hi guys. Im new here. Been worrying about a few things as moving out alone soon. And just wanted to ask a few questions, Im moving into a 1 bedroom flat with a housing association which the rent is 100 a week, and was wondering if I can actually afford it? I earn 270 a week and work full time so was wondering ruffly how much my bills are likely to be? I also have a loan of 100 a month and a phone- 40 month. But no other debt. I shall be alone so can't see me using an awful lot but wondered if anyone else was in a similar position. Cheers Dan

Electricity, gas, water, phone, broadband, council tax, contents insurance...welcome to the joys of independent living.
As above, depends on the heating system and whether its E7 or not. Single rate electric heating is very expensive, E7 less so.
NB: a £480 pa phone contract for someone on a very low income (£14K pa) is excessive, I'd start by sorting that out if not still in minimum term.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Its gas central heating0

Hi,
well from the scant information provided, rent, phone, loan, that's about £135 already, half your wage, then as macman says above, plus tv licence.
You should have something left for food, but don't buy takeaways, bulk cook from scratch, and freeze.0
