My advice, from personal experience, is never trust EDF to do the right thing for the customer.
Their business seems to be set up to deliver the best possible situation for EDF in all circumstances, irrespective of what is reasonable treatment of a Customer.
Thankfully, we have a wonderful forum to make this clear!0 -
Reading this thread makes me wonder when my luck will run out. I changed to EDF about nine months ago. The switch went well, I have entered online metre readings every month, the direct debit remains the same and an emailed enquiry I sent them was answered quickly ... long may it last - but I am worried now.Make £10 per day in May challenge: £310/123.920

I was with EDF for 15yrs, 11yrs was all ok no complaints, but for the past 6yrs it was a nightmare..............unable to register on line...........failing to carry out instructions regarding changing tarrifs...........failing to notify of adverse changes to account ...............incompetent customer service staff............so glad I switched..........ok I have gone with BG but at least now I have peace of mind AND I am in control of my energy usage and my montly payments have reduced even being on E7 and it being a very cold winter
Best thing I ever did was to get shot of that showertotal airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0 -
Remember, this is the same EDF our government is trusting to provide our new nuclear power stations!
How Wonderful, but may require a much bigger tub of salt to keep that lot safe!0
