Motability car renewal advice

My Motability car is up for renewal in 5 months. We currently have a Ford S Max, which suits our needs as it has a big enough boot for wheelchair and/or scooter. The only problem is that my condition has deteriorated significantly recently and apart from giving up driving I am struggling to get into the car (partly because the seats are bucket-style) and have twice Mis-footed and fallen onto the ground. Although my husband likes the car to drive, we need something a bit lower. So it needs to have a large boot, not be high off the ground (but not too low either) and preferably by an automatic. Any ideas?

We have the Mondeo estate (which is really a lower S Max).
Same timing as you and we are looking to keep (depending on their valuation).
Lower than the S Max with a huge boot, albeit a lower ceiling, we want to keep because there is nothing wrong with it, 5 people + wheelchair and luggage at a steady 70+ gives 39mpg. The replacement advance is £2k.0 -

Is it automatic?Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
Have an Astra automatic, previously had a Focus. Much prefer the Astra, and its more comfortable. Perhaps you could have a look at some local garages? We also had a look at some in car parks when we saw a new car (yes did get some funny looks). Also, the Astra is using less petrol.

Sounds good! What model is it?Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
Just the basic model, well worth a try out. Its a 1.6 which I think its the same as most no payment up front deals.0
