From your example SOA they are overspending on food and petrol. They could reduce the food to £20 and petrol to £25 less if they don't have hospital visits to attend.Barclaycard 3800

In your opinion.
Only the OP knows their own situation fully.1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42

I wanted to quote this and totally agree.Miss_Scarlett wrote: »But with respect Broken Hearted, you don't know how much extra it costs the OP for the things SHE needs for her disability. I do think her debt could be handled in another way, but, maybe she feels that the stress of the debt and managing it is more than she can cope with. Sometimes these things aren't all about numbers. Maybe it's one burdon too many on top of what she has to cope with, with her progressive disability.
I'm sure people look at my situation and say I could surely afford to pay my 'small' amount of debt off if I really tried. It's not about that to me necessarily, it's about the harrassment, the upset, the constant stress and the affect it's had on my and family.:: BCSC #71 but now discharged! ::0 -

I'm assuming her DLA pays that - my mum had DLA at the higher rate for care and mobility, and she has the option of car or cash.0 -

Also we have a lot more debt yes it's frightening but it can be done. I also agree that a SOA is needed to see where cutbacks can be made.
Brokenhearted have YOU checked to see if YOU are getting all you are entitled to?0 -
Yes we have and we had to fight every step of the way to get the little we do get.Barclaycard 3800

Guys and gals lets not get silly again, ok?
BH you are clearly here only to help and your interest is very much based on helping out the OP. Please be aware though that the tone of your posting, especially on this board, does at times sound a little judgemental especially as we do not have all the facts and thus can't make sweeping judgements.
BR board regulars. BH is trying to help and the tone of a few of your replies is quite negative and smacks occasionally of closing ranks to keep an outsider out.
C'mon guys and gals i don't think anyone here has posted for any other reason other than to help the OP. PLEASE can we all just watch the tone of our postings and consider the feelings of others (this is a very emotional board) before posting.
Thanks,
Alan0
