Seems like a landslide victory for the "save your money" camp!

Thank you for your thoughts. It's always good to get opinions.

as the web address suggests, we're all money saving experts... apparently...

You can still (according to web site fiatsupasaver) get a new (old shape) Panda for less than the 09 Jazz.

For £6990 you can get the new shape Panda.

My only real question for the OP would be, are you fairly self reliant and would a breakdown become a train smash? If so I have to agree with the others, if you are looking for peace of mind it might be worth considering a change but if I was you I would be looking for something that was still in warranty.
  • OK, that's sorted then, I'm keeping the Honda and it's booked in for new tyres on Friday. I will get the minor paintwork bits done when I've recovered from the bill for tyres.

The garage tell me that the MOT advisory items do not need doing yet.

Booked in(where?) have you shopped around?

    how low are they?
what size is on your car?

    www.blackcircles.co.uk

    plenty of others

If a keeper why bother with the odd bit of paintwork, touch up to stop corrotion and live with it.

have a look through the advisories and get quotes so you know what a MOT bill might be if they have deteriorated further.
  • Keep yours. Unless you have money to burn I don't know why you're considering doing anything else.

Needing new tyres and a bit of repair work are not reasons to change your car.
  • Booked in at local garage.

Yes, of course I have shopped around!

Approx 2mm wear left. Two long journeys coming up in the next month.

    185/55 R15 82V

Chosen Continental tyres, fully fitted at £82 each.

I could have got them at National Tyres for £78.80 each or Halfords show them for £89.78 each.

Bear in mind I live in the sticks and have no large outlets nearby, work full time so convenience comes into the equation.

I have had the advisories checked by the garage and they say there has been no change since last MOT (June) and could remain as advisories for a long time.

Will be getting touch up paint asap.

    Thank you, all sorted now.
