refund back to a bank?

Hi i got scammed by a company. long story but i paid for a free trial on something so they had my card details to pay for postage and packaging. Anyways i cancelled the items and sent them back in the right time limit. So they tried to take the payment out (it was pending) I rang my back up and they said they couldnt stop it (which they can!) Anyways the company took the money out and i tried emailing them to tell them to stop. So i spoke to the bank to make a dispute and they refunded the money which is great. Just on friday i checked my bank and noticed the the company has also refunded the money. My question is will the bank take back the money that they refunded to me? will they tell me first or just take it? thanks

The dispute will reject and your bank will redebit you. They should write to you to let you know. Why don't you call them to let them know you've had a refund ?0

Yes. But it may take a while. Back in my banking days we always used to tell people that sometimes the company refunds directly and if they do you should let the bank know straight away.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Would you be entitled to a refund of the p&p.
I always thought under the DSR that you was only entitled to a refund of p&p if the item was faulty.
Otherwise the company could charge you for the return of the item.
I could be wrong it was just a thought.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

You're wrong, if the customer notifies the retailer of their intention to cancel/ return within the specified period they are entitled to a P&P refund. The retailer may charge the customer for the return but only if they state as such in the terms and conditions.0 -
