I just rang them as the website gave me this answer:
Sorry, you're not eligible to receive a reward from Sky

Called the customer services and they said that the offer applies to brand new customers ONLY. I have just taken out Sky BroadBand on the 25th of Jan 2013 and never had SKY TV in my life, but that didn't count. As long as the address had an account, that counted as being a customer. Which is extremely disappointing really. The lady put me on hold and inquired with other departments but to no avail. I wish that I could use this offer now, but I can't.

Really gutted. I was looking forward to buying the OH £13.25 pm for a year. Oh well.

For people looking just for TV if they already have SKY broadband, this offer doesn't work.

  • Hi, I've got my code but every time I enter it I get the following error...

"We do not recognise the offer associated with the code you've entered. Please check that you have entered the offer code correctly."

Anyone have a clue whats going on please??

    Cheers.
  • Hi sorry if this is a stupid question but I didnt want to get a code if I can't use it. Could anyone tell me if there is a minimum contract you have to sign up for? Also can you just get the entertainment and entertainment plus packages without broadband (we have no phone line so can't get broadband)? What happens if you need to move house during the contract?

Sorry if these are stupid questions or if thus is the wring place for them.
  • 12 month contract i think you can get it without broadband but as sky boxes need to be connected to a phone line i think there is a charge if your not able to do so. if you move though they are very good i moved last week they sort everything out for you and there is no charge for the installation on the move either.
  • Ah I didn't realise they were connected to a phone line, thanks for answering so quick :)

You do need to take line rental at full price if you take the tv*.
It's £14.50 per month, no discount on that. Unless you pay the 12 months in full, up front, then you can save £54 on the total line rental.

But it's compulsory*. You may as well take broadband with it. I can't live without broadband, how do you.? :-)

*(if you don't have an existing landline)

No you don't. I already have a phone line and didn't need to take Sky's phone line.

  • Just ordered mines! Thank-you, was just thinking about getting sky back
