Parking In York For Barbican Centre (Evening)?

Could anyone suggest an alternative car park to the Q car park on Kent street in York?

I'm in York for concert tomorrow evening at the Barbican center and obviously there is the Q park park across the road but If that is full, I wondering where to park?

(Usually when visiting York I park and ride or arrive by train and walk but neither are an option for tomorrow).

Probably parking a mile away on a road off Hull road A1079 and getting bus to barbican and taxi or walk back to car. Hth

There are residential streets off the A19 close to The Barbican. Google streetview will help.

There are a few streets off Heslington Rd or A19 that are unrestricted parking. We always park there and it's great for the Barbican.

Thanks for the replies, keeping with the spirit of saving money, I might detour via those suggested streets and hopefully get parked there(before checking the overpriced Q car park for spaces).

We park for £2 in the carpark behind Cliffords tower from 6pm (till midnight i think).

The Barbican is about 5 mins walk over the river and passed Wetherspoons.
