Dishonest and downright scummy behaviour, and liable to get you in hot water if the bigger hat can be distinguished from the one returned. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Part of me would like to do this in response to the way which our request was dealt with however we will go to our local horseriding centre and give/sell the hat to them. At least someone will benefit from our !!!! up apart from 'her' at that equine centre near Solihull.
Thanks to all for the advice/support.:)0 -

Only a little dishonest though0 -
Would you want to buy a hat and find it was infested with someone elses nits?
Well, if you buy it online then this may well be the case as the item in question could be returned under the DSR's. (As could wooly hats, crash helmets and many other items that may have other people's creepy crawlies in them).0 -

Why do you sat that?
I say that because the seller was not refusing to refund on hygiene grounds, so your point was irrelevant.
Also, assuming that every person who returns a hat has nits is childish and idiotic. One would hope that a shop will inspect an item for defects before accepting a return, and may notice if the hat was "full of nits".
Besides, even if a hat was returned with headlice, the lice can only survive for 24-48 hours away from a head, so if it was that much of a worry, do not resell for 48 hours.
Different types of lice can be present on any body hair, so should we ban returns on any clothing due to lice?0 -
I totally agree that people who suffer from parasites should not be discriminated against, and should enjoy the same rights as everyone else.0

I see the shops point - don't know much about horses, but if found out a motorbike helmet shop accepted returns, I wouldn't shop there!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
