Redundancy / Compromise Agreement / Unemployment Insurance

Hello,
So...I have some information indicating that I will no longer have a job in the next couple of weeks.
I knew this would happen sooner or later and took out Income Protection Insurance about 2 years ago, only for unemployment.
Now, my company seem to favour compromise agreements over a proper redundancy process - I'm wondering if this would in any way affect my entitlement to claim my insurance as I would be sort of agreeing to leave?
Or...is it still redundancy and the compromise agreement is just separate to this confirming all the extra bits (payment, confidentiality etc).
Just want to be prepared to ask for what I need in order to claim...employer should be fine with providing confirmation I'm redundant rather than being dismissed with a compromise if I ask.
I don't actually think I'll need to claim in the end as I have a 3 month waiting period anyway but better be in the know!
Thanks or any help!!

It is still redundancy. The compromise agreement protects the company from you taking actions detrimental to the company after your departure in return for extras beyond the statutary minimum.0

As long as your CA clearly states your position was made redundant you will be ok.0
