saving and regular saver account please

I do not work and will not be going back to work and have £7000 to save.
I am looking for a saving account high as possible interest, and a regular saver account to drip feed money into.
I would like either phone or branch banking
Is there anyone who can help.

Skipton do a Christmas Saver (maturing 24 November) which operates with a passbook you can use in a branch. Though the rate is more than 7% there is a £150/month limit so you would not use much of your £7K

Nationwide has a regular saver where you can pay money in at a branch.

It is likely the best regular saver rates are fed by SO or DD.

Have you looked at the Best Buy articles in the Savings Resource Bar? That's probably the best thing to do.

I'd go for the yorkshire building society internet saver for your lump sum and there regular saver which you can feed from £10 to £500 per month.

snap yorkshire BS is best ongoing RS product  id go for monmouth BS Rs second, as higher minimum poss investment than nationwide, no interest rate tiers unlike nationwide and no strings to achieve the advertised interest rate unlike nationwide

    http://www.monbs.com/content.php?nID=103 6.25% gross

up to 1000.00 can be invested a month

Yorkshire's Regular Saver (7.00%) would be my first choice too: You can add to the required regular £10 minimum as many times as you like in the month up to the limit of £500. One penalty-free withdrawal allowed each year. Monmouth's Saver Plus account pays 6.25% at the moment but allows, as bristolleedsfan says, £1000 per month. They collect by Direct Debit (so only a single deposit a month is possible) One penalty withdrawal also allowed there.

It is possible therefore to 'upload' the Saver Plus at £1000 per month for 4 months - the Yorkshire RS for 4 months - and in month five cut the SP to the £20 minimum. Then in month 7 or 8 withdraw £2000 from the SP and drip feed this (over the next four months) into the Yorkshire.... But that's only if you like things needlessly complicated!
.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam
