egg money card

I have been slightly out of touch as i have had a long term 0% card for quite some time, but the time has now come to look for another card - just want to know if the Egg Money card cannot be used at all now for stoozing. If so, is the only way out SBT at 4%. And also then should I close my Egg Money card or retain it and wait to see if terms will change at some point. All looks a bit messy now:-( What are your thoughts?

You ARE out of touch. The Egg Money card was taken over by Barclaycard a long, long time ago.
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Oh, yes, I do know it is with Barclays now - I have the new card. But the last time I checked here - agreed it was some time back - a big debate was going on that you could call Egg (Barclay) and ask for money to be put in and they would/might do it or because that is what you always did or something like that...

Anyway, does this mean I may as well cancel the Egg Money card and look for SBT???

I've done this with the Barclaycard since the change and with a NatWest card. Note that, strictly, it's against the terms and conditions so they are more likely to cooperate it you use the card regularly in other ways and don't do the transfers frequently.

NatWest does regular offers of money transfers into a current account that can be at the same rate as balance transfers. Takes about nine to twelve months of no use of the card to get the best offers, in my experience.

Is it too risky to do it now? If I BT to Egg/Barclay and then they do not allow transfer to current account which is also with Barclays - what do I do? I do not have any special offer for transfer to current account in my Egg/Barclay card. Also did you call Egg/Barclay and what did you say? Is there any specific term to use?
    Thanks, G.
