sorryaboutmywife wrote: »About the DTD meat, I have seen it in my local but for some reason chickened out, because what do you say when the £10.99 price is on the packaging, but the £6.00 is on the SEL? Do you just say you only looked at the SEL and not the packaging price? I couldn't work it out in my head what to say to them.
I usually say that I only noticed the £10.99 price as I was putting the joint into my coolbag in the car - and that I thought it was a lot cheaper than than on the shelf label. I also add that I've just been back down to check the price on the shelf label - just in case they try to pull a fast one ! (I always make sure I go with them when they go down to check the labels - again, to avoid any deviousness with the SEL)ELITE 5:2

Just having a look through the old thread and remembered Queenriderbrekke and ume sue talking about the pizza and sides deal at Mr T. It's still on if anyone is interested (2 pizzas and 2 sides for £6, ends 12 March). Have added their original link below, but the link Queenriderbrekke put on is now broken. Have put an updated link here: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/ProductBuylist/default.aspx?id=L00005777&icid=pizza_taway_main
Link to original post to deal here:

I paid 7p for an 800g hovis loaf earlier. TCB give you 25p to snap. I'm sure it won't work but if just tried it in case.....;)Tiger

I have done the last meat glitch but it is tricky for the reasons you give. The point is (when you are at CS) that you looked only at the SEL and that is the price per kilo that you assumed the meat was. It was only when you were looking at your receipt in your car that you realised that the charge must have been wrong. Here is the key point - their policy of DTD states that DTD is given where you are charged a price higher than the SEL.never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

fairclaire wrote: »DTD excuses used
1. kids are driving me mad ( true:D) too flustered to check prices. Just grabbed and put in trolley
2. I thought the discount would come off at the till
3. I just assumed everything in here was priced correctly:rotfl::rotfl:
if asked why you didn't say anything at the till
1. if its a big shop...you didn't notice an overcharge on such a big shop
2. use kids excuse again...I didn't pay attention, just paid etc etc
3. There was a big queue and I didn't want to hold it up. I thought it'd be easier all round if I sorted it out here (CS)
and finally if you are in a really Necky mood......a simple ' it's not my job to check prices match SELs, it yours:D':rotfl::rotfl:
I don't do Alot of DTD anymore our store are on the ball with the meat and are restickering it. Also there only seems to be one CS lady in the whole store and she's there 24 hours a day! I can go in at any time and it her:rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
One thing I said the other day was, I don't get paid to check your prices thank you!:D (well I do kinda :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
Another I said was, well I was chatting to the SA and stuck my card in.
And lastly, it's not my fault I didn't notice! I assume you stick to the law
*breaking the law charging a higher price than marked on a shelf:cool:
