Just back from local Mr T Express. Picked up the slow roast and as my bad luck would have it it was charged (and labelled) at £8...blooming cheeky overcharge of £3 per kilo darn it !!!!
All was well though after a quick trip to CS where I was greeted by the same trout from my last DTD last week lol (Don't think she loves my cheeky smile lol) Anyway I wearily pointed out the error and my overcharge. She went off to "check" came back moaning about there being 2 SEL's for the exact same product and then gave me my DTD with a "thankyou son" lmao. No attempted trouting tonight think she knows I have her measure lol.
Nice 1.5 Kilo Joint of slow roast beef for about £3. Not too shabby. All the lamb legs in my Mr.T was correctly priced. :T:rotfl:
Wonder what we are having for this Sunday ??? Hmm answers on a postcard.

It's a gigantic piece of lamb for me :D My parents are over for dad's 65th birthday and lamb is his favourite joint

When I got mine on tues, I called him and emailed instructions and he set off to T.....an hour later I got a text to say he had 2 big joints for under £2 :T and that he had "been trout pouted" :p his words...

I'm a body double for Claudia Schiffer and i wont get out of bed for less than [STRIKE]£10k per day[/STRIKE] a 1p find
  • About the DTD meat, I have seen it in my local but for some reason chickened out, because what do you say when the £10.99 price is on the packaging, but the £6.00 is on the SEL? Do you just say you only looked at the SEL and not the packaging price? I couldn't work it out in my head what to say to them.

Slow roast - Sel £5kg but some are £8kg
Pork - Half price but some are full price
    Lamb - Not too sure!!!

Thank you all - I.bought "a few" beef joints "for a party" expecting the discount to come off at the till (that is my story and I am sticking to it!). Bother, I was overcharged! DTD returned without quibble ;) ... Imagine my surprise when I experienced the same error in another local store ...

Spent around £15 after DTD for 7 1.25 kilo joints ...

    Many thanks

    Either:
I was packing this and noticed I have been charged £10.99 when on the shelf it said £6.

    Or

I have been charged £10.99 kilo and I am sure it said £6 on the shelf.

    DTD excuses used
    1. kids are driving me mad ( true:D) too flustered to check prices. Just grabbed and put in trolley
    2. I thought the discount would come off at the till
    3. I just assumed everything in here was priced correctly:rotfl::rotfl:

if asked why you didn't say anything at the till
    1. if its a big shop...you didn't notice an overcharge on such a big shop
    2. use kids excuse again...I didn't pay attention, just paid etc etc
    3. There was a big queue and I didn't want to hold it up. I thought it'd be easier all round if I sorted it out here (CS)

and finally if you are in a really Necky mood......a simple ' it's not my job to check prices match SELs, it yours:D':rotfl::rotfl:

I don't do Alot of DTD anymore our store are on the ball with the meat and are restickering it. Also there only seems to be one CS lady in the whole store and she's there 24 hours a day! I can go in at any time and it her:rotfl::rotfl:
