Just back from T and they always seem to leave me feeling badly treated and shortchanged:mad::mad:.

Supervisor refused to accept my PP voucher, saying I had to present the original receipt - even though I showed there were no longer any receipt details on the voucher to cross-reference even if the receipt had been available. Stored the transaction, delayed me for some minutes, came back and say no, we need the original receipt. So I overpaid my bill by the voucher amount that they gave when promising to give me the difference.

Onto CS on the phone - and told them I had no problem in a different store last time so why the inconsistently, and I was then initially that it was up to the individual stores as to whether they accept a voucher or not(!) - so the promise seems therefore worthless if they don't. Ended up with a moneycard being sent to me - but for 27 pence more that the voucher. Hardly worth it and more an insult than anything else. Another bad shopping experience from Tosco.

T price promise - only if we feel like it depending on what the individual store you go to happens to think. Were not PPs supposed to be valid in all stores, e.g. including Expresses, Metros, Extras, whatever? (This was a Tesco Extra, but point made that valid in all stores and should be accepted on the same terms.)

looks like you had a bad time,
i have three big extra mr T's near me, two out of the three you can use PP's without being authorized on the SS tills, as long it's not more 33% of your total.
and don't use more than two coupons

  • Hello everyone, Hope you are having a good Saturday. Just a query. Has anyone noticed the changes in conditions of the Tescos PP site?
    • Half price and buy-one-get-one-free promotions whether at Tesco or at a competitor are included as they allow fair comparisons to be made.
However, some promotions are excluded because they do not allow fair comparisons to be made. For example:
    • Linksave (e.g. meal deals or “buy cheese and get the crackers free”), category-wide (e.g. “buy 6 bottles of wine and get 5% off”), and multiple offers on the same range (e.g. “buy 2 for £3 or buy 5 for £6”) are excluded because they do not allow fair comparisons to be made irrespective of which retailer is running the promotion.
Is it my imagination or used T to compare 3 for 10.00 and half price offers but not BOGOFs? All changed around now apparently. BOGOFs do compare but 3 for 10.00 offers don't. Also no mention of reduced items not comparing. So they do now! Well we knew that they did (to our cost), but they officially do now. That's me confused anyway.
I am not young enough to know everything.

You could always just give them one of the recipts that didn't produce a PP like I do sometimes if a receipt is too badly damaged/dirty to show them, they don't mind which receipt they play with:rotfl:
