@hornetgirl, Did you get my PM0
-
OK apologies in advance for this massive list. I did mean to PM it to our resident pricing expert but messages are limited on the number of characters you can send and I didnt want to split it into massive chunks.
Anyway it will give you some ideas what you might buy for a Sada v M shop, its from last week so you just need to watch for price changes.
Ive got a tosco rec pile as well, not sure wether to do a word document as well
toosco v sada
tosco v Sainsburys?
Thanks for this. (Sorry to say I don't find it too much use, as it's largely comparing to normal M prices rather than looking for special offers. Only the Swiss Rolls on there that seem to me to be 'worth' it - and even they are very small rolls. Multibuy at M missed on the Halls Lozenges. To have everyone here now needing to check at M for any price change is a little too much for most of us I feel - lots of offers at M ended on 10/2 - it's best off just seeing my list on page 1 which is up to date - I doubt anyone would find much that represented a good deal vs M that isn't already on there! Apart from some random Garnier stuff that's been on offer for a number of weeks and stuff around that aisle, there's little I've missed off.)
No offence intended at all, as all info. welcome.0 -

You have summed it up perfectly. No wonder in my view that people seemed to be moving away from T.
Regarding them 'having a system they don't want customers to use', I very much get the impression (from t.com for example) that T rather begrudgingly has a PP system. I feel that they only have it because A has the APG and S the BM. T merely give the difference (that's if they allow you to spend it at all) and won't better A. They have then introduced the 8-item requirement to have you buying more from them: whereas, if A were over 10% cheaper than T already on any item, you can (ignoring the possibility of there being no nearby A) just buy that one item from A at the cheaper price and not have to buy 6/7 more items.
I felt P Clarke summed it up around a year or so ago (may be longer) when he said, something to the effect that, there were too many vouchers in the industry. That very reaction from him prompted me to dislike T even more than I did up till that point, they don't like vouchers folks and don't want to be issuing them. They want you to pay them full price.0 -

Well, I have sent DH to get 5x packs of beans and some fillers. That will be a max value PP though so I hope it will be OK (if it even works that is). It's a bit of a risk but worth a try. I will report back when I get the PP back (though that could be days judging by recent experiences). I wonder how long Sada will have them on sada.com at £1 for.
EDIT- just seen Pattylabelle's comment above. Managed to get DH on his mobile and have aborted the mission. Thank you so much Pattylabelle for alerting us xxx
They may not be comparing because T's have not yet updated their information. There is a chance that they will compare in the next few days once they have updated.N1LDA0 -
Huge thanks to CANDY222
I do not use hot deals uk so without u I would not have know about the beans I am now the proud owner of 36 cans lol.
Also like Elainemn I paid with wombles and mine are BB 03/2014 although im pretty sure we will get through them before that
Did good today done M T A in 3 hrs picking up various deals along the way.
Completely gutted on the DTD I missed out on, in T they have reduced their 100 finish tablets from £26 to £13 which is fab but I found a damaged box with a whoopsie sticker on for £24 so I was rubbing my hands together. Chose my SA wisely a young girl who was chatting to a collegue about last nights party. Anyway she scanned them at £24 and before I had chance to get them in a carrier a too kind manager/supervisor came rushing over. He had been called to another til for an overide and noticed my whoopsie sticker he told my lovely SA to cancel and pull the whoopsie off to re-scan and voila up came £13 he was so thrilled by how much he saved me and took a further £2 off like before for the damage making my £24 finish tablets £11 I smiled and thought what a plank lol and off I went.Started Saving in 2012!!!

Can anyone figure these out? two different muller shops, but one got £2.90 and one £3.10 back

£7.58£4.98
Isn't much of that the non-Muller 'fillers'? On the first shop, you got about 20p more on the voucher due to buying the Activia yoghurt and, on the second shop, a penny on the Haribo you bought. The APG works from the whole comparable shop - if you've added extra items, 10% cheaper than the competitor's price will be refunding to 90% of a larger amount (the competitor's total bill will be higher if you buy more and it compares vs them). (Perhaps another 'clever' aspect of the APG - if you compare A to items that are really low priced elsewhere, the 10% is of a smaller amount, so in pounds and pence terms, it sees A giving you a less total amount (an amount off the competitor's bill). If the competitor's total (comparable) was £10.00, A would give you an additional £1. If however you buy more, and the comparable bill at the competitor would have been £20.00, A refunds £2 on top of a price match.)0
