Google Chrome Crashing

Hi All,

My Google Chrome browser keeps crashing, I continually get the message to either "wait for the program to respond" or "close the existing program down". I've ran AVG anti-virus and Spybot S&D, is there anything else I can do?

Thanks in advance.

I had this problem a few moths ago. Are you running the most up to date version ? If not, i would upgrade

I've had the same problem which suddenly started a couple of weeks ago, I've done a search and it seems to be a common problem, as yet I've not found a solution. Every 10 seconds or so I get the Kill Page error. Reinstalled up to date Chrome but nothing helps. It seems to be a case of live with it or change browser.

I had the same irritating problem but found out it was an updated driver conflict.
Have you updated any or as windows update automatically done it..if so rollback to previous driver..it may clear the problem.

    Run this.
Will do no harm and may cure it.

Click the menu (top right), then settings > extensions. Disable all your extensions by unchecking the box where it says Enable.

Close and restart Chrome - Does it still crash?

If it does, type chrome://plugins in the omnibar (address bar) and disable all plugins.

If disabling either works, enable the plugins/extensions one by one untill you find the one causing the problem.

I've had intermittent problems before with Chrome, with both Windows 7 and Windows 8. I made a number of recommended changes some of which made no difference, some a temporary fix.
A few weeks ago I was having problems with all three browsers (Chrome, Firefox and IE). I uninstalled AVG and now no problems.
I initially ran with Windows Defender but now moved to Avast, still no problems.
I notice you use AVG - might be worth a try.

    Is that AVG?

I also checked my browser for updates and it appears that it's the most update version that I've installed.
