Chevrolet Lacetti 1.8 sx 5dr auto

Thinking of buying the above car, mileage on 08/09 plates seem to be around 40K, from what I've viewed already, most seem priced around 3.5K

Good price for a decent car?

    Worth closer to £2000-£2500.

I guess your getting a 'new-ish' car for not much cash, but bear in mind that you'll almost certainly get little or nothing for it when you come to sell.
And that my son, is how to waft a towel!

Not very fuel efficient either. And fairly high tax group.

Depends on what you're after from a car.

They're no less reliable than most European cars (unsurprising given their GM Astra roots), and I've nearly bought one a couple of times as a second vehicle.

I'd be after one with a smaller engine though -- they're not the most economical. As a cheap box that costs next to nowt but will give years of second-car service they have a lot going for them.
