Identitydirect.co.uk and tesco clubcard vouchers

I had my eye on two spiderman books priced at £6.99 at Identitydirect.co.uk I found them throught the tesco rewards site.

I bought £15 of token for the identitydirect website from tesco clubcard reward scheme for £5

When I went to order with my vouchers the price had shot up to £10.99

I then googled the site and they were £6.99

It appears they have a special site to redeem tesco vouchers on in which the hugely inflate the price of goods.

Can they do this?

What can I do I only only order the £15 vouchers so I could buy two for my boys I don't want just one for £10.99:(

At the moment I feel really miffed and mislead.

I think its abit like booking hotel rooms through the clubcard scheme.....hotels only seem to allocate a certain number of rooms and when they're gone, you can't use the vouchers ewven though the rest of the hotel may be empty.

If you don't want to use the token I think you can cancel the purchase - I'd give the clubcard helpline a ring and ask.

I have always exchanged my points to resturant vouchers and never had any problems.

I contacted the website but have yet to hear anything from them. I think I will ring tesco clubcard tommorrow.:)

Just to update

Identitydirect.co.uk got back in tucho quickly and sorted out the issue, they are currently sorting out a new website to accept the tesco vouchers. They honoured the orginal price and I got my two books with my vouchers and they are great.
