Evening lovely people,
My little boy is 18 wks old and weighs approx 5kg.
Because he is so fluffy and white.
we have to bath him weekly.
Looking at the frontline guidelines it says if you bath your pooch regularly you can apply the frontline more frequently I.E every 6wks rather then 2 monthly.
My question is- do you think this is reasonable or do I run risk of overdosing him eventually? The guidelines are vague.......
Thankyou in advance

You really shouldnt be bathing a puppy/dog that often. I have a white puppy he is 7 months old and he has had 3 baths to date. My puppy like the wet, snow and muck. I just let it dry then brush.
You are washing away the natural oils in his coat. x

I have spoken to my vet about bathing and they had no problems with me washing him weekly?
Surely they would have said if I was doing wrong? I use shampoo from vets?:silenced:0 -
We were told not to give baths too regular thats all,x.
Your puppy sounds lovely, what breed is he if you dont mind me asking? Mine is a Bichon Frise and he is teething at the moment, poor boy has a sore mouth. xRIP TJ. The simple answer is to ask your vet, particularly since he is the one that you are getting the shampoo from.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0

They have got a lovely coat. I am dreading the change from puppy to adult coat, its my worse nigthmare to be honest. Any pic's? xRIP TJ. You my be gone, but never forgotten. I'm another one with a Bichon, I try not to bath Ellie any more than once a month, she's smaller than the average Bichon and is closer to the ground so gets really mucky. In washing your wee one that much your in danger of stripping the natural oils from his coat. You would be better asking a groomer how often to wash your dog and not a vet.
I'm another one that would love to see pictures of your boy0 -
Any clues how to upload a picture please?:silenced:0
