I have driven Volvos for the last 18 years and I can honestly say that they have been the most reliable cars I have ever had...
Yes, they are expensive to repair BUT that is offset by the limited repairs they need.
My favourite is the 2.0 V40 - if you get an auto it has a winter setting which was brilliant in the snow.
I've had a V70 T5 which was really great fun but its size meant it was a chore to find parking in some of the smaller carparks because of length as well as width.
Go for the highest spec you can get (heated seats are worth the wait), avoid ones with tow bar fitted and try to get as much dealer service history as you can... it is possible... my last trade in was 10 years old and still had full dealer history as I have always chosen to use a dealer rather than an indie.:hello:0
