PPI Section E about your complaint
Hi I have been filling in the PPI questionnaire for my dad and at the time he took out his loans with Blackhorse he was employed but just got statutory sick pay and had no savings
Can you advise if it is worth making a claim as after speaking to him here is the details I am able to put in about your complaint
Tell us what happened
When I took out the loan I was not advised at the time of the terms and conditions of the loan and was unaware that the loan was sold with payment protection insurance. I was not given the option to decline the cover and was not given any information to to help me make an informed decision about the loan or PPI insurance that been added to the loan at the outset.
You have been fined by the FSA for failing to treat your customers fairly when selling Payment Protection Insurance and I do not believe that my policy was sold in my best interests and you failed to explain the terms and conditions to me and also failed to tell me that you had sold me PPI.
Tell us why you are unhappy
I was not given the option and was not told that my loan included ppi insurance and feel that i have been unfairly traeted. As the loan and the PPI was not explaoined to me and I was unaware that it was included in the loan I was not able to make an informed decision about the loan before I accepted it.
I should have been given all the facts about the loan before and any other products that it came with. I fell that the terms and conditions also should have been explained to me before accepting the loan
thanks

It seems he has a financial need for PPI and would be eligible. So, nothing to complain about there.
The complaint as it stands is very weak. It is an unprovable allegation. However, some people succeed on those with banks/lenders where they auto payout rather than investigate.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
