So...my Astra estate is on its last legs and I'm going to get rid before end July when the tax is up. I am going to have the mrs citroen c2 as I only use the estate to go to work in mainly, and the mrs struggles with the 3 door citroen doing the shopping and transporting our young daughter. So far been looking at Honda Jazz,Skoda Fabia estate,Kia Rio,Toyota Corolla.
Want something thats cheap to run i.e tax, insurance, good mpg, also got to be very reliable, want to spend no more than about £1500. Want something japanese really for reliability. Would consider another astra estate at a push, but I think theres better cars out there.

On a limited budget, best to see what is available nearby. Check bulletin boards, shop windows, GumTree.0

We've hired a Fabia estate on holiday twice and whilst small on the outside has an enormous boot and was very practical.0

Was the Astra Estate ever stylish?0

The fabia estate seems the most appealing to me but think the jazz will be more reliable0

VVT-i engines can start to use up to a litre of oil every 600 miles after 40,000 miles, but think this was fixed in 20030 -
Although this car is sold and I have no connection with the seller, are these not worth a look at?
