Amex card at Poundland/99p shop

Can anyone confirm if poundland and 99p shops accest Amex card only because the big brand products are cheaper there compared tothe supermarkets.

No they are not, didn't you see the programm recently about the false economy of the poundland shops? The products turned out to be less value for money because smaller products are made specially for them, giving the illusion of a bargain.because the big brand products are cheaper there compared tothe supermarkets.

Poundland does take American Express. Don't know about the 99p shop chain.0

Yes, it was a Dispatches programme as far as I remember. It was highly selective, kinda trying to create a scandal when there wasn't one.
I prefer Poundland to 99p stores, because Poundland's till tickets are proper VAT receipts. (At least the ones near my office.)0
