Hey,

Firstly many thanks to those who reply to this post, whatever they have to add.

Basically after my old router has just completely broken down i need to get a new one. I run AOL on two computers at home using this Wired Router. However i am now looking to get a new router which is capable of using wires between these two computers but also have the capability of wireless connection to a laptop and another computer.

I have found a reasonably priced router model - Toshiba PA3227U-1THS . If anyone could advise me whether this is AOL compatible or of any routers you know that have the capabilities which i have asked, please let me know any information you know!,

many thanks,

nalibz :)

as far as I know, you can use any normal routers - it doesn't have to be specially for AOL.

However, AOL only support certain routers via their customer support, if you need any help.

I've had a Belkin wireless modem/router for over a year, using it wirelessly on AOL with a laptop and a PC - no problems at all.

Isn't it a modem/router you need, rather than just a router ? All modem/router's will connect wirelessly too - look for number of ports in the spec.

    Good luck !

Yep, Ideally you want one where you can change the MTU window as for AOL it has to be set quite low for the broadband to work properly (otherwise some sites don't work due to packet fragmentation).
