Hi, I completed an online form for car insureance -got a good quote - docs say I am not covered to and from work, yet I stated thiswas required and gave my employment details. am I covered under distance selling? I paid in full 6 days ago but have only noticed now when I went to print out my documents. I have sent the company an email as they have no telephone contact no. HELP! -

No, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling ) Regulations do not cover financial services such as insurance

Who did you buy insurance from that does not have a telephone contact number?

There may be a heavy clue in his board name!

As this un contactable shower are just part t of the aviva group, and they seem to use software to pick up every time Aviva gets mentioned to alert their damage limitation rep, hopefully you'll get some help along soon.

They have a rep on here so mention the name.

You probably chose social, domestic and pleasure only. Not commuting. You need commuting. If you work in one place all the time.

If your a carer and travel to different places you may need extra cover.

There's no qmh rep, but as posted aviva do jump into qmh threads to cut down the fallout (eg. when other fed up customers come on to confirm their poor experience)

The Aviva MSE reps are their "Live Chat" staff who seem to check MSE when they're quiet.

They don't always seem to bother with QMH problems though, perhaps the QMH stuff is too difficult even for a battle harden Aviva live chatter who is used to sorting out Aviva mistakes

by intrest how cheap were they compared to others?
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

It's because Aviva underwrite QMH. As far as I'm aware they can't see Aviva policies, nor can they do anything with them as it would break the law. The only side of QMH they deal with is the Claims.
I work for a leading insurance company as an Insurance Advisor dealing with Commercial Insurance. Feel free to ask me any questions but please do not take what I say as correct advice at all times, as every insurance company works differently to others.

Log in to your My account and manage your policy from there. :)

If your policy hasn't started yet, you'll need to set the 'effective date of change' to be the same as your start date.
