Anyone offer help or advice. Installed programme called 2Simple to Animate, and went to run the programme and got this error message

Runtime Error 339

Component tssofficemenu.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

I have no idea what this means or how to fix it.

Googled the tss bit and came up with half a dozen sites in Japanese/Chinese and couldn't find one that seemed the right 339.

Anyone any ideas. Have uninstalled and installed it again with the same problem. Installed it on my laptop with no probs so know its not a problem with the disc.

Try going to Start > Run, and typing in
'regsvr tssofficemenu.ocx' (without the quotes). It looks like the installation process messed up.

Search for tssofficemenu.ocx and specify the full path name in the regsvr32 command. E.g. if found in C:\Windows\System32, use
    regsvr32 "C:\Windows\System32\tssofficemenu.ocx"

Which OS is this? Did you install the software from an administrator account (not limited)?

Have you asked at http://www.2simple.com/2animate/ ?

Thanks again for your persistence in helping, but still not having much luck.

Searched and found the file, typed it in and it came up
... "invalid access to memory location"

I did contact 2Simple as first port of call, they sent me a file to download which did nothing. Bit frustrated to say the least.

I am loading it as administrator using XP.

You might try turning off DEP (Data Execution Prevention) globally, reboot then install your program. If this is successful, you can then re-enable DEP, but add your program to the DEP exclusion list. See link below for a detailed explanation of DEP.
