Is there any way of checking when batteries are no-longer any use.
I have hundreds for rechargeables - and no idea which are still in good nick.
The PowerEx charger, the best one available has it and so do the BL-700 clones.0 -
So buy a £50 battery charger to test batteries ?
mine is a uniross x-press 300 and i know for a fact it doesnt have a check function, but then what you expect for a £5 with 4 batteries.0 -

No, you don't need to spend £50 to get decent charger e.g. here
The UniRoss X-Press 300 Battery Charger is timer controlled and basically a pile of crap.
To get the best out of any rechargeable battery, the charger should use deltaV charging which delivers the maximum charge into any capacity cell and then cuts the charge current. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I might buy that one. I like the fact it can be used in car via a 12volt adapter.0
