2nd coil gone in 2 years

coil and all four sounds like renault megane,clio,luguna,scenic,velsatis,twingo.

Ignition coil? Not suspension coil?

Cheap replacement parts maybe.

Regarding the headlights did you have the recall work done on the car as this was a recall. Extremely rare case there was a problem with the headlights.

Any honda dealer should be able to tell you if its been done and if not sort it out for free.

As for the coils. I believe they are a bit that goes. Also if one goes you might as well change all 8 of them as they are all the same age and will probably start to fail at the same time.
But I am not sure how much they cost so 8 coil packs could be expensive. If its the dsi engine not the vtec.

That's what i'd recommend on a Renault. My original Clio ignition coils lasted 30k miles, my cheap replacements lasted 100k miles. When they went, I made sure they were not replaced with OEM parts.

when it comes to coils for renaults, i only trust 2 manufacturers, valeo (green capped ones and now OEM for renault from 2008 on after renault discovered they made them better and last longer) or lucas ones.

i have a set of lucas ones plugged in and never gave me any faults, had the car 2 years.
