Car Insurance and Quidco

Heres my dilemma, the two cheapest quotes are as follows:

1. Direct Line- 540 (minus £100 cashback = 440)
2. Prudential - 487 (minus £100 cashback = 387)

Whilst Prudential works out cheaper, I would rather go with DirectLine as they have the "hit by uninsured driver" cover. So therefore, if I buy with DirectLine and for some reason it doesnt track, can I cancel the policy and resign up with Prudential? I have 3 weeks before its due to begin so plenty of time to see whether it tracks. Do I have to pay a cancellation of policy charge if I cancel before the insurance policy comes into effect?
Thanks

Generally speaking you get 14 days from the day you receive the policy documents to cancel.
