Tax Return From Pilot Training

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried doing this before.
Whilst a full time University student I completed my training as a Commercial Pilot during school holidays. As some of you may know, it is pretty expensive and the 20% additional VAT on top of each flight didn't help neither. Just wondering if it is possible for someone in my situation to claim a tax return to get some of the money back?

I would be very surprised if you could, you'd have to be VAT registered to make a reclaim. However, you could ask on the Cutting Tax board as this is not a student issue as such.

how lucky are you, im still saving up to do my ppl in the summer,

my hearing isnt great so doubt i could pass my class 1 medical,
there is one of my dreams destroyed.

hence me going to university.

I dont think you can claim back any tax, where do you learn to fly and how long did your cpl take you
