HI
This is my first ever post on MSE - Wondering if all you lovely people could possibly give me a steer in the right direction?
So, I get called up about 3 times a day, get text messages and phone messages from companies that I need to claim my PPI. I am now on maternity leave so finally have the time to pursue this. I obviously don't want to use one of those companies as I pretty much have all the info on this great site!
The thing is, I am 99.9% sure I had Payment protection added to a credit card loan I was paying off years ago. I have since paid off the loan, got married, moved 3 times and on my way to having baba #2....all great!
Now, I have no recollection of which company/ Bank it was that the credit card was from. I have looked through all my historic paper work and nothing!
Is there a quick and easy to find out or do i need to call up all the major players and enquirer individually? ( I'm thinking MBNA, Capital one, Virgin, Egg are the main contenders)
Please let me know the best way to proceed
thanks in advance

What is it about PPI? You can't even remember who you had a loan with but are absolutely sure that it had PPI. There is no majical list of loans which had PPI on that you can tap in to. Just ask the companies that you may have had loans from if you had it and take it from there. You will, of course, have to prove that PPI, if you ever had it, was mis-sold.0

Not to sound rude, but if you cannot even remember who the loan was with, then how can you know it was mis-sold?
Its OK to have PPI. You don't have a right to claim it back just because you took it out, it has to be mis-sold.
Anyway, if you find all your documents and discover you did pay for PPI, get your evidence of a mis-sale together and be prepared to wait it out.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0
