I can't download word documents

Hi all

Sorry another problem I've encountered: As a student I have to download from our university portal. I was able to do it until about 2 weeks ago. Now when I try and download a WORD document I still get the Box asking if i want to SAVE, SAVE AS, OPEN and then I get a box at the bottom of the the screen saying: Downloading from..... and that's it nothing else happens.
If I try and SAVE AS I usually get this message: blah, blah doc couldn't be downloaded.

I have Microsoft Office 2010 if that helps.

Seriously, speak to those who control the portal; the IT helpdesk at the Uni.

if your using internet explorer to access uni portal then download mozilla firefox or vice versa and try to download from inside firefox instead, if it works your download will be accessible in the " containing folder " option once download completes.
