Also I think you could only cancel the part of the package that went up. For instance if the phone went up you can't cancel the tv.

  • i know, but it was also discussed in another thread that i cant find. it cited a reason which we gave when we called and they accepted our cancellation. i have asked them to listen to the call ( i kept date and time) in which their agent agreed to let us leave. hopefully that will consitiute a verbal contract and they have to honour it, hopefully!
took on Abbey, Barclays and woolwich and WON. starting new life in Canada! debt free from March 2013!!!

Cant help on the thread but a quick google turned up a link that may be worth reading:

Ofcom rules state that if a provider makes a change to a customer's contract of "material detriment" they should be free to switch without penalty.

Sky has confirmed it will allow customers to do so regardless. Its website states: "If you are a Sky Talk Line Rental customer affected by the change above, you have the option to cancel your Sky Talk subscription without charge."
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

The problem with that is. It's only the phone and you couldn't cancel it till December.

I suddenly get a letter from Mackenzie hall chasing a outstanding balance of £150 .Saying "despite repeated requests" ? What i havent had any letters from Sky and its been 5years !!!.. I called Mackenie Hall and sky and they cannot send me a bill showing the amount i owe and what i paid as there system cant go back that far to print ? Yet they are able to chase? How can they do this ? why would i pay for something without a bill|? need advice please..

Simply tell them the debt is denied and that they must refer it back to Sky, and that any further communication from them will be considered harrassment
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

    Not sure I understand that.

Why would you want to ask MH for a bill?

And what is that £1 all about?
