  • I too don't have currently an EF (sorry :o) . We used to (when MF in previous life:T) but seem to only ever have minimal savings on around £1000, as keep paying off what I would usually save. My plan is EF 2015 when M1 and M2 paid, just M3 continuing.

    If I'm honest, our EF is no great shakes either (would currently cover just over one month's mortgage). We do have a budget line for it tho, so it goes up every month by £150.

    I don't think I'll ever be one of those people with the patience to focus on only one financial goal at a time (like the 'save £10k before doing anything' brigade).

    There are risks to keeping too much cash :)

    Good day. Got to share a lift with DH. Got a well done from SMT which is AWESOME.
    Bit MSE this photo. It is the best teatowel i own, circa 2005 ish. I cannot bring myself to by more. Or afford them, frankly!
