That's so annoying when someone's earmarked for promotion. Happened to me this year but a couple months later they offered me the job I started last week... I think it's good for them to know you're interested in moving on... Gives them a nudge!
Blinking horse flies.... They are sooo bad this year. Attempting to make my own fly spray tomorrow...hopefully something I can cover myself in too lol!

I know, I hate that! Happens all the time at my place, so much so they may as well just put the names next to the titles when they email internal positions round. Wouldn't mind so much if they didn't waste everyone's time with sham interviews!

Even if you think you know who is getting it, you are right to apply. There may well be wild cards on the panel in the form of governors so if you knock them dead they could override the 'secession planning' . Go for it and show them you mean business!
