    I don't disagree with the idea of that site, but why is swearing the new black? All the bloggers are effing and blinding.

    Because if you swear you are clearly off the beaten track, edgy, original and not part of the mainstream.

    I was quite surprised at one of the UK FI blogs, the amount of effing and blinding that was going on. I mean, I eff and blind myself in real life, but on the page ... hmm, I'm not sure.

    Quite. Swearing among friends, or to yourself is fine, swearing in public marks you as someone who cannot articulate a point without swearing.
  • Yes I looked at that housework site and most of it was just stating the effing obvious anyway. No need for it.
    Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
    Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

    Wow half term ... exhausting just reading about it.
    Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Quite. Swearing among friends, or to yourself is fine, swearing in public marks you as someone who cannot articulate a point without swearing.

    My dad used to say "swearing is only for the shop floor"! He worked in a foundry and did not expect that kind of language at home. He was a bit hard of hearing so we just used to whisper :rotfl:
