Have a good first day of term and really hope the dds feel better soon, poor things.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
How funny Lydia. I went to a posh wedding at L'institute du Monde Arabe in Paris and the vegetetarian option was a mountain of vegetables covered in chicken gravy.
Veggie since 13. Soft on animals. Home Ec lessons on preparing meat finished me off!
Squirrel thanks. Four day week.:D0 -

My late-nearly-ex-husband once made what he was intending to be a veggie version of a Chinese dish he would usually have done with meat, and realised when he came to serve it that oyster sauce (out of a jar) counts as an animal product.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
That sounds like a complex relationship.
Two with the pox, neither in a good way.
More online standardisation to do this eve. Have to confess to £30 DH petrol - he just told me - it was two days ago!

That sounded like a hungry wedding to leave! I'm also a long term veggie and dread some events because some people just don't 'get' that removing the actual meat from the dish doesn't make it vegetarian
ps - I became vegetarian because my Mum was and it seemed the natural thing to do, when you're young you just copy your parents.0 -
I was once faced with raw swordfish to cook at the table because vegetarians eat fish...dont they?!!!0

Me? It's quite simple. To put it in a nutshell, over a period of 6 years: he cheated, he left (although not to live with her), he filed for divorce, he got his decree nisi, he was killed in a road accident. So technically I'm widowed rather than divorced, because no decree absolute, although I feel like a hybrid. Happily, I find that both divorced and widowed people accept me as "one of them", so being a hybrid doesn't have to mean not being understood or not feeling I can belong.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Ouch Chicken Pox - Chamolie cream - much better than the lotion and bicarb in a tepid bath - both helped DD when she had it at 2 - although the piriton is a definate as well.
Oh and lots of cuddles and movies - it was the first time she sat still for a whole movie - Tinkerbell - it had to be done
Hope they feel better soon0 -
