Think 4 weeks for a first, and up to 3 years for a 3rd.0

I think any course/placement has to be discussed with you first, and seen to be reasonable to your circumstances.

hope you get this sorted.0 -
the OP isnt sick or disabled and has been out of work for a while ( to be put on the work programme) so i would think any course is reasonable0

To clarify if you are a couple claim, no your wife will not get her share as she has no entitlement to JSA, if you are a joint claim then provided she satisfies then yes she will. You can make a claim for hardship once and if a sanction is imposed.
Depends on any previous sanctions, FTA is classed as lower level so first failure is 4 weeks and subsequent sanctions will be 13 weeks. Failure to participate has higher sanctions, so did you fail to attend the interview or a whole period of training?0 -
If it ever got to the point where i have no money to eat. I would go to the police station and break something to get myself arrested. Atleast i would get a warm cell and food and if everyone who get SANCTIONED by the job center did that than the government would have to change there policy about sanctioning so many people on the work program.0

I failed to go to the training couse but rescheduled and now have completed the missed course within 2 weeks. It was only 1 day0
