Safe custody holding mystery!!!

Okay heres a weird one ....
Looked at my bank statements today, and ive had 2 charges of £25 each, rung the bank as I havent been over drawn etc so wondered why! They explained it was a safe custody holding fee. Which ment I have 2 safes in Natwest that are in my name and I needed to go to the bank and speak to them!
Off i pop to the bank and they advise me its 2 sealed envelopes that I have and I deposited them in 1995?? (I was 8 years old at the time!) And I only opened the account with them when I was 16!! I explained I didnt think they were mine so they are going down on Monday and investagating for me? Spoke to my famiy its none of them??
Questions are-
1. Can I just ask them to give me them? What if there not mine?
2. What if someone put in them in for me? Should I still be charged?
3. What if its not mine, would I get it anyway??
Im so confuseddd!
Any advise would be great!

You will need to wait while they investigate.
Clearly if they are not yours, you should not receive them!
Clearly if the bank has any doubts about whether they are, or are not, yours (and you have now raised those doubts!), they should investigate fully and only give them to you once they are satisfied they are yours.1. Can I just ask them to give me them? Sure. You can ask...What if there not mine? they should not give them to you.
2. What if someone put in them in for me? Should I still be charged? No. Unless you now ask them to continue to keep them for you.
3. What if its not mine, would I get it anyway?? :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Those 2 sealed envelopes could contain a couple of share certificates that are now worth millions.0
